CLNJ 2009:

Vs Gymkhana:

Hawks lost there Quarterfinal Final against Gymkhana, The game was played at colonial park (Gymkhana), it was a low scoring ground. Hawks at one time seemed like they will restrict Gymkhana in 90's.  However good finishing by Rana Aftab took Gymkhana to 130. Hawks started slow and kept loosing wickets, Gymkhana stopped Hawks at 95 with 4 overs to go.

Delaware Cup 2008:

After CLNJ season 2008 P.Hawks participated in Delaware Cup with few new faces in the side.  Gavish, Majid, Haris, come back of tanvir n saqib etc.  P.Hawks played first  games against BOCC and won it comfortably by 50 runs margin.  Gavish batted well and Sibte , Ali Awais and Tanvir took 2 wkts each. 

Villanova forfeited the game and Knight lost by 1 wkt as Muhammed took the captaincy charge.  In absence of Rashid, Nasim n Sibte it was a very well done achievement by Hawks.  Nadeem man of the match played his shots and took 4 wkts and showed all rounder performance. 

Hawks played warrior in last league game in thier home ground and were outclassed in batting and bowling.  Warrior batted well and scored 175 in 25 overs n got Hawks for 70.  Worse ever defeat faced by Hawks.

Hawks to face warrios in semifinal with warriors having pshycological pressure was not an ez task to achieve. 

After winning toss Hawks batted first and thx to Nadeem who scored 44 and other players as well.  Hawks bowled out warriors for 126 as they won the semi final of regular tournament for first time beside 20/20.

Naseem man of the match with 4 wkts and Sibte took 3 wkts.

Now P.Hawks to face Boyds in final @ Wilmington DE.  Inshallah with your prayers and hardwork from the guys will have us victorious on sat 25th.

P.Hawks Vs SGCC:

   SGCC beat Hawks in semifinal, SGCC batting first scored 230 in woodbrook. As usual hawk's top order cudnt show what they are capable of. Zaheer did play some shots over the long off but his innings didnt last long, his innings ended on 24. Hawks were no where when sibbi and Ali started their pasrtnership; we really enjoyed their partnership specially M.Ali. Sibte and Ali Awais got hawks to a postion where they needed 70 runs of 60 balls with 4 wickets left. This was closest we got to our target. After that we lost quick wickets and SGCC packed hawks for 175 all out.

  Hawks have always improved after a major defeats, This was the end of season for us. Semifinal once again was the last game of our season. SGCC beat Newark following week in final and became champs.

 P.Hawks Vs Prince:

At woodbrook school Paki Hawks were to play quarterfinal against Prince on September 7th.  Prince won the toss and  bowled first.  Aqeel's superb shots and patience gave Hawks a solid start.  He scored 47 and no one else beside him could really went for thier shots.  Everyone chipped in & P.Hawks scored 152 in 39.4 overs.  Last wkt partnership between Rashid n Syed Bukhari made Hawks to reach a decent total of 152.

Chasing 152 Prince batsman kept loosing wkts and they were all out for 102.  Godd catch by Noman.  Jahanzeb Afridi made 28 in quick session with flurry of boundaries.

Thanks God HAwks are now in semifinals to face South Gujrat Cricket Club ( 2 times Champs) @ Woodbrook School.

After winning toss Panthers batted first.  Ketan played good and stayed thier till end and scored a fifty.  Rashid took 4 wkts.  Chasing 143 Hawks batsman keep losing wkts and Hamad resistance went in vein.  Panther won made them qualify in knockouts where they were to face SGCC and P.Hawks to face Prince.

 P.Hawks Vs Aggressive:

Aggressive won the toss and batted first.  Rasid & Sibte bowled real well andd got them on backfoot by sharing 4 wkts 2 each.  Then Nasim n Ali got 1 ekt each and Aggressive were 30 for 6.  The good batting by Santosh Dani n Hershell got Aggressive to 126 for 6 in 27 overs and then game called as wash out.

With that 1 point Hawks got confirmed for knockouts with one game left against Panthers.

P.Hawks VS SGCC:

Heavily rain showers washed out the game between Hawks and SGCC.  SGCC were 38 for 2 in 9 overs when rain interfered the game. 

Hawks playing Incredibles this sat on Aug 2nd.

After winning the toss Gymkhana batted first and from the very first over thier batting never let the Hawks bowling to put pressure on them.  They scored 263 in 40 overs.  Hawks fielding was pathetic and bowling also did not went well.

Hawks were on the average while chasing throughout the innings.  Aqeel, Hamad and M.Ali played well and later in the inning Sibte 49 kepts the hopes of Hawks alive until the last over.  The collapse in tail could have saved the game.  Needing 11 of last over in last wicket, Sibte went for a 6 over mid on and got caught at the boundary. 

Hopefully HAwks will come back in strong fashion.

P.Hawks VS Piscataway:

Sibte kept the streak alive of losing the toss(joke), thats the the 4th one in a row.  Pscataway after winning toss batted first.  Piscataway had a gud start and as usual Nasim aka deadly ganja provided first break through.  At one stage P.away were 3/97 in 18th over but the Hawks spin attack Syed Bukhari and Muhammed ALi did a really gud spell and ended as 2/17 n 2/23 respectively in 8 overs.  In the desth over p.away batsman did gud n reached a very gud total of 179 which shud have been under 150. 

Nasim took 4 wkts and Syed n Muhammed did very economical bowling and took 2 wkts each.   Noman n Muhammed played thier shots after losing 2 early wkts and P.Hawks were in a gud position @ first break 14 over 2/62.  Then wkts kept fallin and Rashid played his shots n in end turabi quick 16 brought P.Hawks safe n sound.  Thanks Allah g for havin us victorius in another nerve biting game.

May God keep us united and have us play like cheetahs.  As a captain I m glad to have all of u guys in Paki hawks.

P.Hawks VS Stars:

Playing in their home ground Hawks beats Stars by 4 wkts as they chased 181 in 37.3 overs, credit goes to Noman (62*) and Sibte 31*.  They both provided 86 runs unbeatable stand.

Stars after winning the toss made 181 in 39 overs.  Nadeem Sarosh return in the Stars was a good one.  He scored 50.  At one stage stars were 131 for 8 then gud partership between Kashif and Raza got them to well sounded total.  Rashid claimed 4 wkts and M ali gud spin brought hawks back in the game.

Aqeel n Nomi started well aggressively and played thier shots and Aqeel got out in the first over of bowling change.  Nomi from stars then got saeed in his first over.  Controversial decision of M.Ali and quick loss of Hamad, Shahid & Kazam gave the upper hand to stars in the game. 

Following that a very well balanced innings from Noman and Sibte brough P.HAwks home safe and sound.

P.Hawks VS Indians:

After winning the toss Indians batted first and scored 145 in 35 overs as quick showers came in.  Indians were 40 for 4 but then a matchin wining partnership took them to 110 for 5 and ended up in 45. 

While chasing no one except Noman(46) batted from Hawks.  Slow run chase and ball condition were the turning points of the game.  This is their 2nd loss in the season.

P.Hawks VS Crescent:

What a match Rashid, Ali Awais and Nasim Khan had.   After winning the toss Crescent batted first and got out for 122.  Rashid initiated the day with 2 wkts in very first 2 balls, which is very a good sign of him to get back in touch.  Nasim the man of the match got 6 wkts only Hawks bowler who cliamed 5 wkts hawl twice.

Hawks stumbled while chasing 122 and were 60/8.  But then key partnership 63* of Rashid n Ali Awais changed the equation of the game.  They played sensibly and very patiently and showed their temprament.  Hawks won the game by 2 wkts and this victory shows the spirit of each individual of Hawks.

P.Hawks VS Tiranga:

The game everyone was waiting for.  P.Hawks beated Tiranga in 2007 May as they played thier first ever CLNJ game.  Since then Tiranga won the championship and in Div A games was unbeatable so far. 

After winning toss Sibte decided to bat first on a real hot day.   Hawks made 127 after top order failure and tail crisis.  Thanks to Shahid Bahi who played a match saving innings again with 55.  Hamad and Zaheer chipped in as well. 

Hawks from the beginning had a full believe that they will save the small total of 127 as they restricted tiranga last year to 75. 

Ali got early wickets and the Nasim with the new ball wkt made Tiranga fall under a huge pressure.  Then Sibte first 2 ball wkts had then 24/5. 

A very well partnership was on his way when the batsman got run out at 65.  65 for 6 chasing 127 was a tough task.  Nasim came back n hit the middle stump of thier captain and dats where Hawks had a come back. 

Sibte was on n off the field beacuse of his illness which made Muhammed to regulate the field to do the captaincy for the rest of game. Noman was introduced by him and he got the wkt of the high scoring batsman.

Tiranga looking for 20 runs with 2 wkts and then Muhammed introduced himself and made bold decision being a captain.  He took the two wkts and finsihed up the game.

Now Hawks stand in top 4 with same 8 points with rest of 3 teams.

P.Hawks VS Hightstown:

After winning toss Hightstown batted first on a cloudy day.  Absence of Rashid and Ali in opening bowling made Sibte and Nasim to open the bowling.  Nasim superb bowling with new ball and Sibte's Hat-trick made Hightstown to go in back foot.  Hightstown made 58.  Easy chase for Paki Hawks, but then rain interfared and games was called off by the umpire.  Both teams shared a point.

In the game Aqeel got hit by Syed bukhari slow ball on his nose, while keeping.  Which made him bleed in the game, but then gud cure made him come to practice session on wednesday. 

Tape Ball Tournament in Jersery City:

Hawks participated in a tape ball tournament in Jersey City organized by Prince.  8 overs game in tape ball is worth watching with ball travelling all over the ground.  Hawks beated a team from jersey city in Quarter finals as they comfortably chased 66.

Hawks lost thier  warm up game against  Prince and then I Semi final Hawks bowled first and got the team for 67. 

Final was against Prince.  Prince knocked out every team they played in the tournament so far.

Prince won the toss and batted first.  A very disciplined bowling in the beginning by Ali & Sibte and then Rashid n Naseem restricted Prince to a modest total of 72.

Usman who have been the pinch Hitter for Hawks played his shots and get Hawks in comfortable position but then Prince stepped bak in game as Adnan, Saqib n Irfan bowled well.  Usman and Rashid played thier shots in middle overs and hit 2 sixes each. Looking for 12 runs in last over in the final was a nerve taking game.  Hawks made it as Sibte hit a 6 of Khurram on the first ball and then smart batting of Hamad n Ali Awais finsihed the game in last ball. 

Hawks & Prince had a memorable food party after the game.

P.Hawks VS Global:

Global from Millennium Cricket League visited Hawks on 27th May for a practice game.  After winning the toss Hawks batted first on a bright sunny day.  Aqeel played his shots and made 48 which helped Hawks to reach a total of 213 in 35 overs.  Sibte's 32 and Ali's 30 in late order did provide Hawks a good finishing. Hawks introduced Usman Khan; hero of tape ball tournament.  the only lefty in the side made 26.

Bowlers did a fine job to win the game by 10 runs but few catches were droped which made it a thrilling game instead of a comfortable victory.

P.Hawks VS Radiers:

Raiders won the toss and elected to bat first.  Sibte and Rashid opened the bowling and quickly grabbed thier 4 wkts which got raiders on the back foot.  Later in the bowling Nasim (4 crucial wkts) and Turab Ali bowled in gud line and restriced raider to 87 as they were 60 for 9 at one stage.

Hawks lost thier opening batsman in quick session which made the games interested but as usual Hamad n M. Bukhari played well to get Hawks in 64 for 4.

Sibte and Hamad built an important partnership which broke as Hamad lost his wkt at the score of 85.  Fahad hat-trick from Raiders got the game into the tense situation as hawks required 3 runs with Sibte and Ali Awais on wkt with Naseem to come.  Game tieing shot by Ali and winning shot by Sibte brought Hawks home safe and sound.

How can we end  the report against raiders without mentioning Naveed Gul. He didnt Score alot of runs But yea Every single player in Hawks Appritiated His Attitude. He was most frndly guy seen on the field. We wish him good luck in rest of the season.

NJIT VS P.Hawks.

Game got washed out. It was a bright sunny day, However home team werent familiar with condition of thier own home ground and assumed constant rain for 2 days before the game wont hurt the ground. apparently ground wasnt even safe to walk on. Warrinanco park was closed a day before game was scheduled but i guess only one of the two teams wanted to play this game, so home team kept this secret as a surprise for us and we were told when we got to the ground that "game cant be played coz it rained two days ago" :).

Cricket seemed patheic that day. Its already a disadvatage for cricket that game cant be played while its raining, however its a new thing atleast for us that game cant be played coz it rained two days ago, while other grounds were availabe.

Prince vs Hawks:

Hawks won the toss an elected to bat first on a sunny day.  Hawks made 174 which should have 200.   Irfan from prince took 5 wkts.  Zaheer pressured and sensible inning made Hawks reach the total of 174.  Zaheer scored 46.

In reply Prince openers batted well and Hawks never had an upper hand in the game.  Sibte took 3 wkts.  Muhammed Ali fielding was adoreable.

After game both team had memorable food party.

Newark  vs Hawks ( First game of CLNJ 2008 ):

Paki Hawks started thier CLNJ season in a good fashion by beating Newark( 4 times champs) by 56 runs in thier homd field.  After winning toss Newark bowled first on wet outfield.  Hawks had a slow but steady start.  All credit goes to Shahid Bahi who accelerated score in last 7 overs and gave a boost to the total. His 66 of 44 balls was gud enough to put newark on bak step. 

Shahid bahi hit 4 sixes which includes 23 of an over and enabled Hawks to reach 166 for 9 in 35 overs.

A gud bowling by Hawks made a comprehensive victory of 56 runs.  Newark kept loosing wkts and scored 110.

Somcav & Rutgers & temple(Semi Final):

Practice match against somcav was lost by hawks by 15 runs.  Hawks introduced new faces in the field.  Somcav played gud cricket and came out to be victorious in close contest.

In the game against Rutgers, Hawks went with new bowling attack.   Introduced Kazam as a fast bowler.  Hawks got victimized with so many injuries during the game and lost the game by 3 wkts.  Kazam bowled well.

Semifinal against temple was won by temple again by 4 wkts.  Hactic schedule of Hawks made hawks go without thiere 5 regular players.  This brought an end to their ICL league.

Drexel & SGCC :

          Hawks beats Drexel and SGCC as they kick of thier cricket season in 2008. 

     As they initiated thier ICL 2008 Spring championship against Drexel.  Nomi and Aqeel sparkled with the opening partnership of 92.  Aqeel went on to make brilliant 59 and built good partnership as Hawks beat Drexel for first time in ICL tournament beside 20/20.  Hawks scored 221 of 30 overs as Nomi, Aqeel and M. Ali contrtibuted good scores.   In bowling Syed Ali and Nasim took 4 wkts each n restricted Drexel to 120 to win a remarkable 100 runs resounding victory.

           Next day on 23rd March under the leadership of M ALi Hawks went to Warinanco Park and played SGCC.  On a slow pitch and wet outfied SGCC managed to score 79 in 30 overs.  Hawks finsihed of in style as M ALi played captain knock and won by 1 wkt.  Star of the day this time was the birthday kid Tanveer.  Starting of his season he took 3 wkts and scored the final run and boundary.   

          Special thanks to Uday who managed to organize the game after a big hassle.

         Congratulation to Hawks on winning the 20/20 Intercollegiate cricket tournament.  After beating Drexel University in final, they kept thier perfect record in 20/20.  Special thanx to all of the Hawks player for their love and sincerity and passion for the Hawks.  Thanks to ALMIGHTY ALLAH for keeping us united and blessing us with 20/20 championship.  Details on final will be posted soon.

Hawks vs Drexel (Final Report):

       Nov 12th 2007.  Weather was not really good, it was drizzling almost every 5 minute in first 2 hours of the game.  Sibbi flew back from Texas for this speical game and had a very warm welcome by his team mates.  After loosing the toss and putting into bat on a rainy day, Hawks opened very well.  Noman took the charge and hit flury of bounderies in the first few overs and got lbw for 26.  Aqeel and M. Bukhari took the charge after early loss of saeed an took Hawks for 71/2 by the end of 10th over.  After that both took the charge and took Hawks to big total of 171, scoring 100 in last 10 overs.  Aqeel made 28 & Ishtiaq made 26.  Muhammed Bukhari stayed in wicket and made 66, a kool and paced inning. 

       In bowling Rashid was unplayable and ended up with 5 wkts hawls in 4 overs.  That was his first 5 wkts hawls and the timing was perfect, final of 20/20.  Drexel was never in the game beacuse they kept loosing thier wkts and lost by 30ish runs.

     Hawks ended the season in a very fine style and hopefully with the grace of Allah they will hit the ground next year with same passion and unity.  Ameen

Hawks vs USCA (Semi final) :

       Hawks lost the game by two wickets, scoring only 109 they tried there best which wasnt enough and USCA chased the target with two wickets in hands. Sibbi bowled well he was bit unlucky, two catches were droped in one over and he bowled the batsman twice in two consective deleveries, but unfortunatley both were no balls.

 Hawks vs USCA (preview):

       It happend for the first time against edison, when hawks missed their fast bowler in the end. Rashid, Nasim and Ali all of them missed few games but things worked out okay. In quarterfinal against Edison hawks totally missed Ali Awais when Edison were 72/7 and put a total of 160 on the board. Well now, we have to worry less about that as Ali Awais is back in the squad.

         Having 5 best bowlers like Rashid, Sibbi, Nasim, Ali Awais and Syed on the side would mean that we are going in the game with our full bowling strength. All of them are capable of destroying other teams batting line and they have done it in the past.

         Ali Awais has who was the first one to take 5 wickets plus took seven wickets against stockton including a hatric. Nasim also claimed a hatric once with total of 6 wickets and as far as i remember i think all of them were bowled. Sibbi once went too far and took 8 wickets leaving U-penn with a total of 38. Personally i think Sibbi was able to do it since Rashid wasnt playing the game, otherwise Rashid is a kind of bolwer who wont let other team mates go without taking his share. He is  the one who actually started by saving 3 runs in last over, getting 3 wickets. Syed has always taken wickets when he bowled but by the time he usually comes in attack, other team usually cant let him take more than 3 or 4 wickets as Our fast bowlers dont leave him much. In most of the cases when a single batsman survives all other bowlers he becomes Syed's victim.

         Hmm enough of History, USCA with thier strong bowling line would be facing Hawks on Sat 15th of September at woodbrook School, Prince's home ground and known as fastest wicket in CLNJ. USCA  didnt let any team score alot of runs lately, Highest against USCA in last five games was 101 by Pricenton. Thier last game in Woodbrook was last week when they destroyed a strong batting line of HCC and packed them for 55. Simply Amazing !!! Not to mention but we havnt done bad either. both teams are semi-finalist and i expect a lot of competition.I Hope its going to be a good and fair game. A game thats fun to watch and play. I expect alot of heart beats slowing down and accelarating with time intervals .... their is gona be a winner and a looser but hopefully no one will be disappointed.  (Sep 13th 2007)   

       This is our first season, we had done good so far playing the quarterfinal was an important achievement, however thats not the end of our dreams we always wanted to do more.After qualifying for quarterfinal all of our players had hawks eye on trophy. It was a really close game and our players are really happy to win such a crucial game. Kazam makes his place in Quarter-Final:

      Kazam who played few games in the begining of the season for Paki Hawks went back to Pakistan in june. He came back, but couldnt make his place in team rite away;  at one time it seemed like he won't be called for warm up games either. Kazam was available against BCCNJ and Frankshire but wasn't put in the squad. Kazam played warmup against Paki hawks from South Jersey. South Jersey was almost out of the game when Kazam turned the game around and  South Jesery won the  game.

      Kazam once again made a differnce in game when Paki Hawks had no hope to come back against Stars. Kazam and tanveer scored 22 runs on 10th wicket. Even Though Paki Hawks lost the game by 4 runs, we are still happy by kazam's Brillient performance. His ability to play over the fielders when needed and awesome cover driver make his innings worth watching. Paki Hawks Bascially is team of youngsters but Kazam's entry makes it sound even better because he is just 15. Having guys like Majid and Kazam makes us realize that Paki Hawks has a bright future. 

     Kazam without any doubt has enormous talent, he might be better than few of our regular batsmen; however i personally think we need to work on guys like Kazam and tanveer, They are doing good but they can do better.  

     We had very hard time to select players for practice games and it was even harder to pick a team for quaterfinal. It would be intresting if we win the quarter final, as Ali awais will be available for Semi-final if we qualify and he wont be sitting out. So one more player has to rest.    (Sep 1st 2007)

      Paki Hawks made it to Divison one for 2008. Did our players expect this, when they started the league? Thats a good question which might not have a proper answer. Our initial purpose was to play league this year, so next year we would have an idea; about  how does leagues work around here. Though we did have some expectations that atleast we will make it knockouts. Most of our players were new to league, and we did show our immatureness in some games, However, lacking experience couldnt keep us down. The enormous talent that few guys have in this team and the hard work on the field we earned 2nd postion in Clnj. Next target for now is winning knockouts and getting a trophy home. All our players are looking forward to it and we know we can do it.  (Aug 22nd 07)

         Raiders has been awarded 2 points agianst Somcav. Accoring to latest news from Clnj, Somcav was playing with an unregistered player. Wat that means to us ? that simply means we dont have an option of loosing against Frankshire, So we are going in the ground with our best. Mohammed Ali who was sheduled to be on rest against Frankshire is back in the squad. Raiders is playing SJCC and the only chance they have to get in top 3 is if they beats SJCC and Frankshire Beat Hawks. So thing are getting intresting as  we are getting closer to knock outs.
